The Annual Retreat for the students of St. Philomena’s College of Nursing was prayerfully organized on 17th March from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Seminar Hall. The retreat aimed to provide spiritual nourishment, inner reflection, and renewal of faith among the students.

The program commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by Sr. Martha, who introduced the retreat team consisting of Fr. Nelson Machado and MS. Maneesha Mathias. Their presence brought great spiritual depth and inspiration to the gathering.

A total of 110 students actively participated in the retreat. The day was filled with various spiritually enriching activities including:

● Motivational and spiritual talk
● Praise and worship session
● Holy Mass
● Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
● Sacrament of Confession
● Final blessings

The sessions were engaging and reflective, helping students to strengthen their faith and deepen their relationship with God. Special arrangements were made to ensure inclusivity, with priests available for confession in multiple languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, and English, enabling students to comfortably participate in the sacrament.

The retreat created a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere, allowing students to reflect on their personal and spiritual lives. The guidance provided by the resource persons was deeply appreciated by all participants.

The retreat concluded with the final blessings, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Melisha, a 7th Semester student, who expressed gratitude to the management, resource persons, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the retreat.

Overall, the Annual Retreat was a spiritually uplifting experience that left a lasting impact on all participants.

The Annual Retreat for the students of St. Philomena’s College of Nursing was conducted on 19th March 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Seminar Hall. The retreat was organized with the objective of fostering spiritual growth, inner reflection, and strengthening the faith of the students.

The program began with a warm and gracious welcome address by Fr. Sikendra Singh, who set a prayerful tone for the day and welcomed the retreat team and participants.

The retreat was led by a dedicated and inspiring team comprising Fr. John Lucas, Fr. Nelson Machado, and the renowned ministry Vox Redempta. Their sessions were deeply enriching and spiritually uplifting, guiding the students towards self-reflection and a closer relationship with God.

A total of 104 students actively participated in the retreat. The day’s program included a variety of meaningful spiritual activities such as:

The retreat concluded with the final blessings, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Maria Viyaney, a 5th Semester student, who expressed sincere gratitude to the retreat team, organizers, and all participants for making the event a meaningful and successful one.
