World Breastfeeding Week – 2025

World Breastfeeding Week – 2025, with the theme “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems”, was observed on 5th August 2025 from 11:00 a.m. onwards. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, St. Philomena’s College of Nursing, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the third-year GNM nursing students, organized a health education program using relevant audio-visual aids to emphasize the theme. A role play was performed, and posters, charts, and models were displayed. Interactive games were also conducted in E Ward. The program was attended by postnatal mothers, bystanders, ward in-charges, faculty members, and staff nurses. Overall, the event served as a valuable learning experience for both the organizers and the participants.
