Kondattam 2025 – Onam and Teachers’ Day Celebration “Festivity, Fellowship, and Fun in Full Bloom!”
Onam and Teachers’ Day 2025, with the theme “Kondattam: Celebration”, was observed on
5th September 2025 from 12:00 pm onwards. The program was hosted by the 4th
Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of St. Philomena’s College of Nursing, Bengaluru, under
the banner of Student Nurses Association showcasing the cultural richness of Onam through
various dance forms and songs related to the festival.
The celebration began with the traditional Onam Sadya, a South Indian delicacy. The main
attractions included folk and cultural dances, songs, and a lively tug-of-war competition. A
variety of entertainment programs were organized separately for both teachers and
students, adding to the festive spirit.
Teachers’ Day was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by the distribution of
thoughtful gifts to each teacher as a token of appreciation.
The event was graced by ward in-charges, faculty members, doctors, sisters of the JMJ
congregation, the college chaplain, and all B.Sc. and GNM students.
Overall, the program created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, leaving a memorable and
positive experience for everyone, as reflected in the enthusiasm and active participation
throughout the campus celebration.
