Venerable Mary Glowrey Day 2026

Venerable Mary Glowrey Day 2026 was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm on 14th February 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Veronica Pitt Auditorium, St. Philomena’s Hospital, Bengaluru. The program was thoughtfully organized by the students of St. Philomena’s College of Nursing to honor the inspiring life and service of Venerable Mary Glowrey, a pioneer in missionary healthcare.

The celebration commenced with a traditional Khumbharathi, followed by a graceful Prayer Dance, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The gathering was formally welcomed with a Welcome Speech, setting the tone for the meaningful proceedings ahead. The ceremonial Lamp Lighting by dignitaries symbolized the light of knowledge, compassion, and dedicated service upheld by Venerable Mary Glowrey.

The cultural segment of the program beautifully reflected unity in diversity through a series of vibrant performances. These included a Solo Classical Dance, Kannada Folk Dance, and a Traditional Kerala Dance, showcasing regional cultural richness. A special highlight of the event was the Dance Drama depicting the Life of Sr. Mary Glowrey, which deeply moved the audience by portraying her journey of faith, sacrifice, and service.

The program also featured the Honouring of Dignitaries, acknowledging their valuable presence and contributions. Students further enriched the celebration with a variety of cultural performances including Mizo Dance, Group Classical Dance, Meghalayan Dance, Nepalese Dance, Tibetan Dance, Rajasthani Dance, and an energetic Western Dance, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity and cultural harmony.

The event concluded on a melodious note with a Group Song, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration.

The program was attended by valued guests from the congregation of JMJ alongside guests from Australia.Overall, the program was a meaningful tribute that beautifully combined spirituality, culture, and inspiration. It left a lasting impression on all present , reinforcing the values of compassion, dedication, and service exemplified by Venerable Mary Glowrey.
