WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY 2025 “Changing the Narrative, Saving Lives.”

On 11 September 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Our Lady of Bon Secours Pre- University and Degree College, Victoria Layout, Bengaluru became the venue for an inspiring observance of World Suicide Prevention Day 2025, held under the theme “Changing the Narrative on Suicide.”

The Department of Mental Health Nursing, St. Philomena’s College of Nursing, Bengaluru, in collaboration with the second-year GNM nursing students, conducted an impactful health-education programme. Creative audio-visual aids, an engaging role play, a powerful PowerPoint presentation, and vibrant posters and charts brought the theme to life, sparking reflection and meaningful discussions among the attendees.

s The programme was graced by the Principal, teachers, and nearly 300 Pre-University and Degree students of Our Lady of Bon Secours. The event not only emphasized the importance of suicide prevention but also created a transformative learning experience for both the organisers and the participants.
