M.Sc Nursing

AT THE COMPLETION OF THE COURSE THE STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO:

  • Describe the broad concept of the fundamental principles of quality nursing care, and demonstrate skill in providing nursing care to people of all age groups based on principles of physical, biological and behavioral sciences in an institution or in a community setting.

  • Participate as a member of the health care team in promotive, preventive and restorative health care delivery system of the country.

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and decision making abilities in various nursing situations.

  • Strive to emulate the divine physician, recognizing and serving Christ in the person of sick and needy.

  • Promote and protect the economic, general and professional welfare of nurses and to raise the standards of nursing as a profession.

  • Demonstrate the skill in critical thinking and the nursing process as bases for clinical decision making.

  • Recognize responsibility for maintaining competence as a registered nurse through self evaluation and continuing nursing education..


Admission is open for all the Candidates

  • Minimum educational qualification is B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from Rajiv Gandhi university or any of the other university considered to be equivalent by the Rajiv Gandhi university of health sciences.
  • 60%marks in the first attempt in B.Sc/PBB.Sc.
    • ADMISSION CRITERIA 2020

      • The candidates is expected to produce the Original certificates at the time of entrance exam and Interview.
      • Selected candidates are expected to submit the original certificates in the Students Section immediately after the confirmation of the Seat.
      • Eligibility Certificate to be submitted on the day of joining the College which is compulsory for the Admission in Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
      • Nursing Council Registration Certificate [Concerned State].
      • Experience Certificate.
      • B.Sc[N] or PBB.Sc[N] Marks Card.
      • Degree Certificate.
      • Migration Certificate [Student from other state].
      • Aadhar Card.

The two years postgraduate program prepares nurses for leadership position in Nursing and related health fields who can function as nurse specialists, consultants, educators , administrators and researchers in a wide variety of professional settings to combat the National priorities and challenging needs of the society.
